Recognized as one of the most esteemed leaders in the technology community, Derek has been actively involved with nearly every accelerator, incubator, and co-working space in Hong Kong. Since 2004, Derek has served as the Managing Partner of BraveSoldier Venture Capital, a prominent technology venture capital fund.

Derek has been engaged in all facets of fundraising, including angel investing, family office activities, Series A investments, and IPOs (HK Mainboard, GEM, NASDAQ). As the former CEO of a Chinese contactless mobile payments firm, is recognized for hands-on leadership, guiding the company from seed round to investor exit with over 500 on-site visits, overseeing manufacturing in Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Guangzhou, across diverse electronics sectors.
